Cooking with Love Font Review for Campaign Design

It was 9:45 AM, and I was finalizing the teaser graphic for a seasonal online course launch. The client wanted something warm, inviting, and personal—something that would make users feel like they were being addressed directly. That’s when I opened the Cooking with Love font from Script Amp and knew immediately it was the right choice.

Cooking with Love is a handwritten script font with thick lettering and a casual, friendly energy. It feels like a note scrawled on a napkin by someone who genuinely cares about what they’re sharing. This typeface carries a mood of authenticity, creativity, and approachability, making it perfect for content that needs to feel personal and relatable.

How Cooking with Love Performs in Campaign Visuals

I tested Cooking with Love across several campaign assets, including Instagram posts, YouTube thumbnails, and email banners. In each case, the font stood out without overwhelming the message. Its unique character added visual interest while keeping the tone consistent with the brand’s voice.

On mobile previews, the font remained legible even at smaller sizes, which is crucial for fast-scrolling feeds. The thick strokes helped maintain clarity, and the handwritten style gave the text a natural rhythm that felt easy to read.

For the course teaser, I paired Cooking with Love with a clean sans serif font for body text. This combination created a nice contrast between the decorative headline and the straightforward supporting copy. The result was a balanced design that felt both creative and professional.

Real Campaign Use Cases for Cooking with Love

The font shines in short-form content where personality matters more than strict typography rules. Here are a few realistic use cases:

In one instance, I used Cooking with Love for a Pinterest pin promoting a DIY craft kit. The font made the title feel like a handwritten invitation, which boosted engagement and shares compared to a standard display font.

Readability and Design Considerations

While Cooking with Love is visually appealing, it’s important to consider its limitations. It’s not ideal for long paragraphs or dense information blocks. For these scenarios, pairing it with a complementary sans serif font is essential for maintaining readability and visual hierarchy.

When using it on dark backgrounds, I found that adding a subtle stroke or outline helped prevent the text from blending into the background. On light backgrounds, the font’s natural weight kept it visible without needing extra effects.

Also, be mindful of the font’s spacing and kerning. While it’s designed for a handwritten look, slight adjustments may be needed to ensure the text flows smoothly in your layout.

Font Pairing and Practical Tips

To maximize impact, pair Cooking with Love with a modern sans serif like Montserrat or a clean serif like Playfair Display. These combinations work well in social media graphics, website headers, and branded templates.

Before using the font in any commercial project, check if it includes alternate characters, ligatures, and different weights. Some versions of the font offer additional styles that can enhance your designs further.

Also, confirm that the font supports multilingual characters if your campaign targets international audiences. Lastly, always ensure you have the correct commercial license for the font, especially if it will be used in digital ads, merchandise, or client deliverables.

Cooking with Love isn’t just a font—it’s a design tool that helps build emotional connections with your audience. When used thoughtfully, it can elevate your campaigns from generic to unforgettable.
